In an image posted to Facebook, Soul Barn, a wellness store on the town's main street, said none of its regular therapists, staff or facilitators were at the business at the time of the death.

"There are no words to express the deep sorrow and shock we are feeling here at Soul following the tragic incident that occurred on April 13," the post said.

"Soul Barn hires out workshop space to external businesses and facilitators. The event which took place on April 13th was a private event, and those facilitating the event do not work for or represent Soul Barn in any way. None of our regular therapists, staff or facilitators were present at any point during this event.

"We share the shock and devastation of everyone involved, and our hearts are with those families affected. Soul Barn is closed while police complete their investigation. We have no further information to share, and we ask that you respect the privacy of everyone in our small community. Thank you."

On Saturday, April 13, Soul Barn hosted an "ancient skincare ritual" event, which purported to use "infused herbal oils" and "wild foraged plants" to provide facial skincare.

The event's organiser made a post on her Instagram addressing the recent media coverage of the incident, which she said she was not present for.

"I'm deeply saddened by the tragic event that occurred at Soul Barn over the weekend," the post stated.

"I don't know anymore than what has been reported in the news as I was not present."

It is not known whether Ms Dixon had attended the event.

On its Instagram, Soul Barn advertises retreat venue hire and it is understood the venue is occasionally sub-let to others holding events or conducting activities.

On Wednesday, April 17, the woman who died was identified as Melbourne mother Rachael Dixon.

The 53-year-old myotherapist and personal trainer has been remembered by her son Matthew, who shared a tribute on Facebook.

"To the most loving, most caring person I've ever known can't thank you enough for everything you ever did for me and all the support you gave me, words can't begin to describe how much I will miss you, wish I could give you one last hug," he said.

"Love you infinity Mum."

Detectives from the Moorabool Crime Investigation Unit are investigating the incident which happened just after midnight on Sunday, April 14.

"It is believed a woman was at a retreat on Fraser Street when she became ill after ingesting a drink," a Victoria Police spokesperson said.

"The 53-year-old Ringwood North woman died at the scene ... two other people were taken to hospital for observation.

"Investigations remain ongoing and police will prepare a report for the Coroner."

Victoria Police have not confirmed what sort of drink the woman had.
