The Wynyard product, the first AFLW player drafted out of Tasmania, played six games for the Kangaroos in two seasons after being traded from Melbourne.
The 26-year-old managed just one game in 2020 after an ankle injury in a practice match before round one ruined her chances of breaking into the team at the start of the season.
That came after a shoulder operation ruled her out of football last winter.
The midfielder's one outing, which was against Geelong in the last AFLW match to be held in front of a crowd before the COVID-19 set in, saw her collect six disposals, three marks and lay one tackle after being a late inclusion.
The AFLW season ended prematurely not long after due to COVID-19 after the Roos' winning semi-final as they looked on their way to the flag under former coach Scott Gowans.
Humphries has played 16 AFLW games, the third most by a Tasmanian, after playing 10 for Melbourne, where she was originally the 57th pick in the inaugural AFLW draft, with her speed, clean disposal and attack on the ball her greatest assets.
"Emma has been an important member of our club over the past two seasons, and her professionalism has been outstanding,'' North AFLW list and football performance manager Rhys Harwood said on Tuesday.
"We wish her all the best going forward."
Humphries, who last year was named Tasmania's NAB League girls coach, joins fellow Wynyard's Libby and Chloe Haines in being delisted, while Launceston's Abbey Green has been traded to Collingwood.
Other Tasmanians yet to be signed up include Mia King, Daria Bannister and Ellie Gavalas, while it is believed Brittany Gibson and Nicole Bresnehan are contracted for 2021.
North is expected to make an announcement about player re-signings for the 2021 in the next day or two.
Delisted players can be signed by a new club until Friday, August 21.
