This Grammy-nominated 39-year-old lives on several acres not far from the Holly Springs, Mississippi home where he was raised by his grandfather, late singer/songwriter/guitarist R.L. Burnside, with whom Cedric famously played. Support will a perfect pairing with Chris Russell's Chickenwalk, playing Melbourne, Mississippi-influenced Delta blues.
Saturday, Eilen Jewell
Eilen Jewell and her fabulous band will be playing in support of their blues/rockabilly influenced Down Hearted Blues of 2017 and Gypsy from last year.
Jewell and band will be ripping through tunes from these albums and all her catalogue in a night of country twang, Americana and reworked blues classics.
Jewell's discography also includes several albums of original material and one of Loretta Lynn covers. Gypsy, is her eighth album and her first of original material since 2015. The album has received rave reviews with American Songwriter calling it "yet another diverse, refined and intermittently provocative release from an experienced singer-songwriter who consistently provides the Americana goods with cleverness, class and style."
