There was a full house at Daylesford Lawn Tennis Courts last Monday evening, with 20 people attending the first of eight open court sessions being hosted by the club.
One of the organisers, Di van Baleen described the sessions as a fun way to get back into tennis.
"Some people hadn't played much tennis at all and wanted to give it a crack, and others had not picked up a racquet for 40 years," she said.
There was lots of laughter as participants rotated across the courts and activities. The evening finished up with pizzas.
To join in the sessions in February and March, register online and turn up at the West Street courts at 6pm Mondays.
No racquets, balls or mates required. Cost: $5. Food and refreshments provided.
