The top-flight lads continued their winning ways with a commanding 2-0 win over North United in Ballarat on Sunday evening.
The win puts the lads on top of the table by three points over Warrnambool Rangers, and five points clear from third-placed Vikings.
The win was no easy feat, with North playing some attractive football and having chances to put away at least one goal, but Daylesford took their chances and rode the winners' train all the way home.
The first half saw Jack Rambling Nulty win a penalty, which was calmly smashed home by Owen Turbo, to make the score 1-0 at half-time.
The game opened up in the second half, with goal of the month going to Daniel Mrowiec with a classic top corner strike from 25 yards out into the stiff breeze.
Adam Sadler looked sharp in his return game, and came close to two goals and plenty of champagne football.
The midfield of Mrowiec, Hiroshi Masuda, Bear Hackenberger and Josh Duffy was outstanding.
They won the ball solidly all day, proving a great combination has been unleashed.
The defence was excellent, keeping another clean sheet, no thanks to an outstanding game from Jordy Barnes and a wonder save from the club's greatest asset Brendan Connelly, goal stopper and sweeper.
Lachlan Torpedo again had a solid flight at right back, pushing up and causing trouble. North United played well to the end, and were a little let down by a red card to their star signing in the second half.
Coach Dragi Koleski said: "I'm excited for the boys to be on top of the ladder, but we are just taking it game by game.
"This run home will be vital in deciding the league winner, and we can only keep playing our game and moving the ball like we did tonight". The team has a bye next weekend
Best: Mrowiec, Barnes, Hackenberger, Masuda, Turbitt, Connelly,
The Division 2 game was cancelled due to bad weather. The team will play next weekend against Vikings away, with many players to return. A win is a must.
