"The club is delighted to receive this gift as it gives peace of mind for our members," Ray Skinner, President of Clunes Golf Club, said.
"It will be placed in a position which will make it available 24/7 to anyone in the area. We are grateful to the department for their insight into sporting clubs in a very practical way."
Club members met with Jonathan Barge of St John's Ambulance for a training session to better understand how the defibrillator works and for CPR and first aid training.
They were pleased to discover just how easy it is to work the defibrillator and provide lifesaving CPR with it due to its instructing how to perform the process on somebody who is experiencing a heart attack.
