Junior tennis ended on a high with presentations on Saturday morning. Champions in each age group were presented with a trophy from club president Greg Malcher who said the standard of tennis had improved greatly throughout the season.
He congratulated the juniors on the way they were progressing and thanked volunteers who helped to organise the competitions each week.
Hot Shot Coordinator and champion junior player Anna Santurini presented medals to her hot shot players.
"[I] loved coaching the beginners who were all so eager to learn and many of them will be transitioning to the junior competition next season," she said.
Because of the awards, a shorter junior competition was played.
In section one, Josh Dennis won his game over runner up Finn Loft. Meanwhile in section two, Frankie Harvey prevailed over Oscar McLucas.
In section three, Maddie Lane played a strong game against Manu Scheltema while in section four, Lola Santurini won her match against Caitlin Leonard.
In the seniors competition on Saturday afternoon, Pete Ekstedt narrowly defeated Jeremy Harper by two games.
