Alla and Allan Wolf-Tasker donated the cheque to the Daylesford CFA branch last week.
Daylesford CFA Captain Alistair Grant said for the first time, the brigade would be sharing the cheque with the seven other brigades in the Glenlyon group, which include Trentham, Porcupine Ridge, Leonards Hill, Franklinford, Musk, Hepburn and Glenlyon.
He said the money would go towards the acquisition of equipment, likes hoses and chainsaws, for each brigade's smaller projects.
"It is a big help. It will help with new, smaller equipment for most of the brigades but I know Porcupine Ridge is fundraising for a new truck," he said.
"We just got a new ute so we are buying smaller pieces of equipment for it like torches."
The CFA is one of Alla and Allan Wolf-Tasker's highest priorities for fundraising.
Mr Wolf-Tasker said they had been donating the cheque to the CFA for five years.
"We have our fireworks on Lake Daylesford on New Year's Eve and the CFA always come down to help out, so we give them the proceeds of the evening," he said.
Mr Wolf-Tasker said it was really important to support the vital work the volunteers do in protecting the community.
"We think it is important locals chip in to help the CFA and show appreciation for what they do - you just have to look at the great work they did at the recent bushfire."
He said he would hate to see the current structure of the CFA disrupted as it worked really well in a small community like Daylesford.
"It shouldn't be meddled with. There may need to be professional people involved so the organisation can continue to evolve, but there are so many locals involved from this region," he said.
"It is a real generational thing here. The skills are handed from one generation to the next and so the younger kids grow up wanting to join and be involved when they grow up too."
