THE weekend’s Daylesford Motorfest is being dubbed as the biggest event in the town’s history.
Thousands of people and vehicles flocked to the region for the fundraising event.
Organiser Peter Olver said the event was “incredible”.
“It was a fantastic event that brought a lot of people into town who stayed for the weekend. We can only build on that next year. I am terribly relieved it all went well. I am proud of my team of volunteers and proud of Daylesford for what we have done.”
Cars were banked around town trying to enter the grounds of Victoria Park. Mr Olver said people came from as far as Perth and Tasmania.
He said the event would be bigger and better next year and hoped the council could get behind the event given the economic boost it had provided in its inaugural year.
