MEMBERS of Clunes Bowling Club played in hot and windy conditions last week.
In the midweek pennant on January 14, Clunes’ division one team hosted Central Wendouree at home. Wendouree won all three rinks and posted a 38 shot win.
Meanwhile, Clunes’ division five team hosted The Avenue, who won all three rinks and the game by a solid 59 shots.
In the weekend pennant, Clunes travelled to Waubra, with both clubs sitting just out of the final four and vying for a spot in the upcoming finals.
Clunes was only able to win won rink, however, with Waubra sailing to a 27 shot victory.
But the division seven team had more luck, winning three of their rinks and then the overall game by 30 shots, entrenching the division seven team in the final four and closer to finals victory.
