Clunes Bowling Club secured a number of wins across the Midweek and Weekend pennants.
The club’s division one team travelled to Creswick last Monday, during which Clunes skipper Harold Patullo’s rink drew with the opposition rink led by skipper Gerry Flapper.
Patullo’s rink played a strong second half to make up a 10 shot deficit, but Creswick skippers Judy Caddy and Beth Huntley each won their rinks, elevating Creswick to a 12 shot win overall.
In the weekend pennant, Clunes’ division two team hosted Bacchus Marsh’s Avenue, with Clunes winning all four rinks in a great game which resulted in a 50 shot win for the club.
Skipper Howard Smith’s rink won by nine shots, Mark Vorbach’s rink won by 11 and Geoff Annear’s rink won by 12 shots.
Skipper Andrew Ingram’s rink eclipsed the opposition to win by 18 shots.
Also at the weekend, Clunes’ division seven team travelled to Daylesford, where it had another great win.
Skipper Peter Quinton’s rink played to a draw, while Josh Polson’s rink won by four shots and Barry Laws’ rink won by 16 shots. Daylesford won the final rink by 11.
Despite this, Clunes were able to win the day by nine shots to maintain their spot in the top four.
