Senior players returned to Daylesford Lawn Tennis Club on Saturday afternoon after an absence over the festive season.
In very warm weather, former men’s club champion Ken Charles won his final set 6-1 to re-gain top spot from Jeremy Harper.
Charles won the game 22/11, with Harper relegated to second on 19/14 ahead of Julian McLucas 18/16.
David Tindal trailed with 18/17.

This week will be the final week of Daylesford Dharma School’s 10 year tenancy at the club.
Club President Greg Malcher reflected that it had been great to have worked with the school during this time, ahead of it moving to its new site.
“It has been wonderful to be involved in the progress over the years of the Dharma School and the tennis club wishes the Daylesford Dharma School all the best in its future endeavours,” Mr Malcher said.
The club’s Thursday twilight matches will return from a break on January 31.
