Earlier in the week, the club saw a great turnout at its Goldrush Stableford day on Thursday with many visitors and club members vying to take home a $5000 gold nugget. The prize was on offer for anybody who scored a hole-in-one on the 18th hole par 3, but unfortunately nobody won.
Kate Grace won the ladies round, 32 c/b, as did Sue Curnow with 32 points. In men’s division one, Peter Bates took home a win 39 c/b and Rob Wallis on 39. In division two, Jeff Green finished with a score of 38, closely followed by Joe Scarlett on 37 points.
It was another great day for golfers on the Friday of the competition, but again, nobody was able to score a hole-in-one to take home the nugget. Fiona Watson won the ladies round with 31, followed by Caroline Atkinson on 30 points. In the men’s round, Rob Crocker secured a win with 41 followed by Jim Shackleton with 37.
