Hundreds of second hand books were put up for sale with the profits being pumped back into purchasing student readers and library books.
Parent Shelley Sandow has been involved in collecting books for and setting up the book fair for five years.
She said it was a great way to fundraise as there were “zero expenses, meaning every dollar made was pure profit.”
Last year, the school raised $8000 and hoped it could match that sum again.
All books are kept for a cycle of two to three years after which time books with retail value are donated to the Daylesford Community Op Shop while others are recycled in a facility which pays for books by the kilo.
