Daylesford Hotel Publican Graham Bamford said his business was running a number of fundraisers for the farmers, including Rural Aid initiatives Buy A Bale and Parma For A Farmer.
Each Wednesday night in August, the hotel is inviting diners to add $1 to the purchase of their chicken parmigianas to raise funds for Rural Aid.
For each dollar donated by customers, the business will match is with a $1 donation. 100 per cent of the profits will be donated to the charity.
“We live in a semi-rural area so it is important to support the farmers who are struggling,” he said. “Anything you can do to help, you should.”
Mr Bamford said people had been very generous with their donations during the first fundraising evening when they sold around 370 parmas.
Rural Aid was founded in 2015 to provide holistic support to Rural Australia.
