The objectives of the upgrade are a key element of the Hepburn Council and Community Services Hub, to be delivered across the sites at The Rex and Daylesford Town Hall sites.
The decision was made not to move the toddler pool, due to extensive community consultation indicating the community wanted as much green space as possible.
Council said it would not relocate the toddler pool to the green space at the back of the 50M pool due to an increased cost of an estimated $150,000.
It would also not include a heated pool, due to its being outside the scope of the current funded pool upgrade.
The upgraded facilities at the pool include change rooms, toilets which can be used all year round, a kiosk, and first aid facilities.
The detailed design process will now commence.
