Tara Flinn, singing teacher and founder of MaCapella, is one of the singers holding the free singing workshops across nine town halls, including in Hepburn Shire’s Bullarto, Clunes, Creswick, Glenlyon and Lyonville.
Each workshop will focus on a different aspect of singing.
Ms Flinn said people do not need to have a musical background to attend the classes.
“The groups are about being connected with others, working towards a common goal and doing something that’s so good for you on an emotional, mental and physical level,” she said.
The songs she works with range from contemporary pop, to mo-town, folk and blues.
The workshops will be held on June 2, 16 and 30.
