Conservation volunteers from Bendigo helped the Friends of Cornish Hill with their battle to control and remove weeds last Thursday.

The group said it was “delighted” at the amount achieved, including clearing tracks, removing willow suckers and chopping gorse, broom and blackberry seedlings.
Volunteers said they couldn’t afford for the weeds to return due to the many years of work.
The weed control program is now ahead of schedule.
