Ms Cheetham has pioneered the Australian arts landscape for 25 years through her roles as opera singer, performer, composer, artistic director and educator.
She founded the company Short Black Opera, which assists Indigenous singers to find their voice through opera.
The civic event will take place on March 8 at 6pm at Daylesford Town Hall.
