The Daylesford Rotary Club’s donations funded the purchase of an ultrasonic sterilisation machine for the Hepburn Health Theatre Unit.

Daylesford Rotary Club President, Lesley Hewitt, said that Rotary was happy to see their donations having a positive effect on the community.

“Daylesford Rotary Club has a long history of involvement with Hepburn Health, and we’re pleased to continue this by funding an upgrade to Hepburn Health’s theatre sterilisation equipment,” Mr Hewitt said.

RACV Goldfields Resort’s donations funded a syringe driver for palliative pain medication, a breast pump for use by the Maternal and Child Health team, and a high tech mattress for residents of Creswick Aged Care.

Smaller groups like the Country Women’s Assosciation also donated a very generous amount to the service. 

Hepburn Health Fundraising Committee Chair Kate Redwood praised the generosity of the donors and said over $17,000 had been fundraised in the past month. 

Ms Redwood said the board of Hepburn Health wants to provide the best quality services in community health, aged care and hospitals and in order to do so, must provide the most up to date equipment, some of which is not provided by or funded by the government.

“We’re thrilled to see the community, and these organisations in particular, get on board to support Hepburn Health. We’re very lucky to have such a wonderful local health service which is really a vital community asset across the whole of Hepburn Shire,” she said.

Hepburn Health is continuing to welcome contributions from community members and organisations.

Hepburn Health is a major provider of health and wellbeing services across Hepburn Shire.

It serves the major townships of Clunes, Creswick, Daylesford, Trentham and the smaller townships in between.

Hepburn Health is seeking to fund a $16,500 Alaris Infusion Pump to deliver intravenous medications and fluids in the Acute Unit.
