Cooper finished in third place at the KTM Junior Supercross Challenge in Sydney on November 11, chosen as one of only 20 young riders across Australia to compete in the race in front of around 21,000 people at the 2017 Aus-X Open.
Cooper has been riding motorbikes since he was four-years-old and said he was both excited and nervous on the start line of the Sydney race.
Cooper’s mother Clare Cummings said she was more nervous than Cooper when she watched him race.
“The speed they go when they take off is unbelievable.”
Cooper said he wanted to race the Victorian and Australian Junior Supercross Championship in 2018.
