Community members are invited to attend the event wearing pink clothing or accessories for the cause.
A guest speaker from BreastScreen will talk about the importance of checking for breast cancer and local musicians will provide live music.
Hepburn librarian Elizabeth Wells said the event fit well with breast cancer awareness month.
“It affects everybody, whether it is men or women, because everyone has a sister or an aunt or a mum or grandma who has been affected by breast cancer,” she said.
Only around 50 per cent of women aged between 50 and 74 in the Daylesford region had a breast screen in 2014-15 according to Australian Institute of Health and Welfare data.
Contact Trentham library on 5424 1326 or Daylesford library on 5348 2800 to RSVP for tea parties.
