ChillOut Daylesford received $14,200 to develop an online archive of the festival’s 20-year history.
Daylesford and District Historical Society received $7500 create a short film which remembers Daylesford’s three lost children tragedy, to be shown in the museum and online.
Macedon MP Mary-Anne Thomas said it was an important time to celebrate ChillOut Festival and the LGBTI community’s contribution to the region.
“These grants represent the diversity in our community,” Ms Thomas said.
ChillOut Festival director Merryn Tinkler said festival archives were going to be a great community resource.
“We did a lot of work in our 20th year to compile all of our history and get some good quality archives together and now we have the opportunity to actually catalog those archives into a community resource,” Ms Tinkler said.
