In a bid to help drivers safer on the roads this winter, The Courier asked its readers to tell us where they’ve encountered black ice in the past.
The answers came pouring in and now we have made a map to help pinpoint these danger areas.
However, it is not the places where black ice can exist.
It can occur everywhere and police are once again urging drivers to take extreme caution when the temperature drops.
It is also crucial drivers avoids hitting the brakes on black ice, otherwise they will most likely lose control of their vehicle.
