Powercorp data showed 1817 customers were without power due to a yet to be determined fault.
The power was restored at 2pm but one small business owner says outages are far too common in the tourist haven.
Buffalo Soldiers coffee shop owner Vigen Karibian said outages happened extremely regularly, particularly during the height of summer or winter.
“It’s a very common occurence and it is very disruptive to the retail trade,” Mr Karibian said.
“People are used to it, personally I believe it is seasonal.”
Many traders had opted to close their doors leaving customers frustrated.
Mr Karibian said repair times varied.
“Sometimes it takes 20 minutes, sometimes it takes hours,” he said.
The coffee maker said the outages limited what he could sell.
“Luckily I have cold drip coffee,” he said.
11 customers in Bassalt were also impacted.
