That's according to Leanne Kemp, who has worked hard to revive the market back to its former glory.
On April 12, dozens of producers and craftsmen will line Clunes' streets once again for the Clunes Farmer's Market.
It will be accredited by the Victorian Farmer's Market, which will mean all goods are of a high standard, Ms Kemp said.
"We wanted to really raise the bar and look at the highest quality of goods," she said.
"We will have meats, small goods, fruit and veggies, cheese, honey, pastries and even Clydesdale horses on the opening day to take people around town."
Ms Kemp said traders had noticed a drop in sales since the former market shut down, which will hopefully now be turned around.
"Of course we're thinking people from Ballarat, Melbourne and locals will attend and this will be great for the economy," she said.
"More than that, we're wanting to increase the social fabric of town.
"It will become a meeting place where people can mingle and meet up and only good things can come from that."
The market will run every second Sunday of the month from 9am to 2pm.
