The funding will be used to reach more men in the community, said founding member Neil Goodwin.
It will also enhance men's health and participation and introduce more programs.
Ms Petrovich said men's sheds provided the opportunity for more men to engage more broadly in the community.
"This is particularly important as isolation, loneliness and depression are majormen's health issues," she said.
"It is generally accepted that men are not the communicative sex.
"But the men's sheds are responding to men being isolated in the community and providing information about men's health issues which could be potentially life-saving.
