The annual festa, now in its 22nd year, is recognised as one of the longest running festivals in central Victoria.
It highlights the heritage of the settlers from Ticino in Switzerland and Northern Italy, who arrived in the region in the mid-nineteenth century.
Their legacy is still visible today in the food and architecture of the region, and will be further showcased at the grand opening parade and family festa on Saturday from 10.30am to 11am.
The landscape art exhibition, opening on November 12 from 6pm at The Rex, is another event highlight.
It will coincide with special Swiss and Italian themed events at local wineries and restaurants, literary events, concerts and musical performances, and sporting events.
An inaugural Retro Dinner Dance will also be held on Saturday, featuring an Italian feast, wines and dancing with Kenny Millar.
