The ‘A New Chapter – Creative Clunes Inc. Seven Year Strategic and Business Plan’ project will provide a plan to develop and grow into the future.
The not-for-profit organisation hosts two major annual events, the Clunes Booktown Festival in May and Clunes Booktown for Kids in November, and runs a year-round program of author talks.
The state government funding boost will complement $9000 in funding from Creative Clunes.
Nationals Member for Western Victoria David O’Brien said Creative Clunes' innovative attractions helped bring local, international and overseas visitors to the region.
“This project will make sure Creative Clunes can respond to the changing current and future needs of visitors to the region, and grow into a self-sustaining organisation," he said.
In Hepburn Shire, the Regional Growth Fund had provided $3.2 million to 46 projects, leveraging $4.2 million in total investment.
