Ballarat District Bowls Division chairman Sandra Chapman said the gathering would provide the bowling community with a chance to come together and grieve.
Counsellors will be on hand to offer support to people at the event.

“We needed to have some sort of counselling for some of the ones that weren't physically involved but have been affected.”
The vigil will be held between 6 and 7pm.
As of Tuesday morning two women in their 70s remained in The Alfred hospital, one in a critical but stable condition and the other serious but stable.
