Hepburn Springs will host a new chamber music festival in 2018. Music by the Springs, to be held in February at Peppers Mineral Springs Hotel, will bring some of Australia’s best classical musicians to the region.

Festival artistic director Stewart Kelly said the Hepburn Springs setting will allow the music to be enjoyed as intended.
“Chamber music by its definition is music that was written to be played in more intimate spaces. It is generally speaking not repertoire that was designed to be played in big concert halls,” he said.
“The chance to hear this music in an intimate space as it was intended to be heard is quite a special one.”
Mr Kelly said the region allowed the music to be combined with great food and wine for a completely indulgent weekend.

“People’s lives are so busy now. It will be special for people to be able to just escape and completely immerse themselves for a weekend; just to be able to drop everything and have be totally indulged and totally immersed,” he said.
