The Andrews government is offering up to $10,000 to farmers and farm workers aged 35 years or under to help them with development and career progression.
Ms Pulford said with Victoria a world leader in clean and green produce, there was never been a better time to embark on a career in agriculture.
“Our young farmers are the leaders of tomorrow and with the right support and encouragement, I am confident Victorian agriculture is in the right hands,” Ms Pulford said.
Scholarships are available to help young farmers boost their skills and equip themselves for the farming challenges of the future.
The funding consists of up to $5000 for study, and a further $5000 to invest on-farm or in professional development activities.
Applications for the Young Farmers Scholarship Program close on August 30. For information, go to vic.gov.au/youngfarmers.
