Clunes travelled to Ballarat Memorial, where Lee Dixon's rink had a close tussle and was able to win the last end, resulting in her rink winning by one shot.
Narelle Vorbach, Maureen Harris, Carol Engel and Lindsay Tucker won their rink by 16 shots, but it was not enough to carry the day and BMS recorded an outright victory by nine shots.
Weekend pennant
Division 3: Clunes took the game up to Webbcona until the afternoon break, when Webbcona took control of the game and won by 35 shots. Mark Vorbach’s rink was able to play out a draw.
Division 7: Clunes hosted Creswick at home. Barry Laws recorded a great debut and went on to win by 10 shots. Arno Van Berkel’s rink played out a draw. Creswick were able to record an outright victory by eight shots. Ken Vallence’s rink won the last end to win their rink. John Amao’s rink recorded a seven-shot win. Bill Hudon, Craig Drewer, Anne Shields and Fred Seers won their rink by 26 shots to ensure Clunes won by 30 shots.
Ladies Championship Pairs: The final of the ladies pairs was played between Eileen Spong and her daughter Carol Engel against Narelle Vorbach and Jenny Cameron, who eventually won.
Club championships: Mark Vorbach was successful against Howard Smith. Late in the game he was able to move kitty and make four shots to close out the game in the next two ends. Eileen Spong was successful against Jenny Cameron.

CRESWICK Golf Club members contested a stableford event.

Tennis
The Diamonds had an emphatic win against last season’s premiers, The Pistols at the Daylesford Lawn Tennis Club.
The Secondary Teachers scored a win against the Tania’s, who ultimately prevailed by a comfortable margin. The Maniacs had no answers for the Flappers, who dominated on the score card. And in a tight contest, the Young Ones edged out The Other Ones.
On Saturday, in division one, Pete Ekstedt won ahead of Al Ferrier in second and John Dwyer third. John TurnbulI was successful in the adjoining division, coming in ahead of Gabe Kirby and Annette Rodda, who tied for second place.
Competition resumes January 7.
