This time, the Saints came good with the bat as well as giving a polished performance with the ball.
Playing at home and batting first, Trentham started very shakily, losing opener Shayne Armstrong first ball and other opener Ted Cooper at 13.
When Sam Hewitt fell with the score on 32, it revived memories of the previous week.
However, the Saints got back on track when Chris Boyer and Jake Sartori put on a terrific partnership of 88 runs in quick time before Sartori was dismissed for a solid 24 runs.
A few more short partnerships finally resulted in Boyer departing for a great knock of 92 with the score on a healthy 7 for 141.
Skipper Dolf Reid then took control smashing 38 not out to help the Saints reach the final impressive total of 8 for 185 from the allotted 40 overs.
In reply, Muckleford started positively, reaching 1 for 40 in quick time.
However, the loss of their second wicket on this score began a big collapse from which they did not recover, being dismissed for only 91 runs.
Once again, the Saints proved their worth in the field with excellent catching and bowling, ensuring a convincing victory and restoring much needed confidence in the team.
B Grade
Unfortunately, Trentham’s B Grade side could not repeat the success of its A-Reserve team. It was beaten by North Castlemaine by a mere five runs in a tense finish.
Following a very good effort in the field, which restricted North Castlemaine to only 96 runs, Trentham struggled to keep their wickets intact in the run chase which saw them finally dismissed for 91 runs.
Best players for Trentham B Grade were young Luke Chew, who claimed 3 for 15 from 5 overs, Jake Prewett with 3 for 12 from 6 overs and Marty Hull and Michael Chew with 22 runs apiece.
Next week the Saints A-Reserve team plays at home to Barkers Creek and the B Grade team play Castlemaine United at Camp Oval, Castlemaine.
