Lake Wendouree’s Nick Peters has been handed a one-match ban by the BFL match review panel following his head-high strike on Redan’s Nick Sullivan.

The incident was referred to the match review panel by the umpires where Peters pleaded guilty to the offence, which was deemed as “careless striking” in the second quarter.
He previously missed round 12 through suspension this year for unreasonable contact to the face.
“When players plead guilty and show remorse the tribunal do look at that favourably,” BFNL operations manager Scott Carey said.
Peters will miss the Lakers’ clash with Sebastopol this week and return for their top-of-the-table clash with Bacchus Marsh in round 18.
