To be held February 27 by the Clunes and District Young Farmers, the event will feature a roast roll dinner, entertainment with a DJ and a mini quick shear, lucky door prizes, a free stubby holder for all attendees, and of course – dancing.
Organiser Stacey Corney said the event was based on the old-style woolshed dances but with a “modern twist”.
“It’s to give a focus on the town and the Young Farmers club,” Ms Corney said.
“We volunteer at a lot of events at Clunes, so it’s nice to host an event and invite people to come to us.”
The Clunes and District Young Farmers are known for helping at the Clunes Booktown event and truck show as well as competiting at the Melbourne and Geelong shows in young farmer challenges.
Ms Cornery said organisers were hoping for about 150 attendees.
Tickets are $25 prepaid or $30 on the door. The event starts at 7pm and runs until late, with camping available.
