In return for exchanging work at the entirely volunteer-run Daylesford Cinema, organisers will teach film enthusiasts how to work the projector.
Daylesford Community Theatre president Linda Carroll said the cinema, now in its third year of operation, was thriving – but needed more volunteers to help.
Ms Carroll said particularly during the school holidays, the cinema needed volunteers who were available during the day as a number of the projectionists were at work.
She said volunteers could work as many or as few two-to-three hour shifts each month as they liked.
Pat Harrison said she volunteered due to her passion for community.
“I love films, but it was more about wanting to contribute to something I thought was a valuable community resource,” she said.
Anyone wanting to volunteer is asked to contact the cinema via www.daylesfordcinema.org.au
