Co-owner and culinary director Alla Wolf-Tasker was delighted the 40-year-old institution was listed as one of Victoria’s top 10 restaurants in the prestigious Gourmet Traveller awards.
“The Lake House team has never been known to rest on their laurels and so after a bit of celebration it’s back to work for the 120-strong crew who include a large number of Daylesford locals as well as hospitality professionals around the world,” Mrs Wolf-Tasker said.
Gourmet Traveller also awarded Lake House three wine glasses - for its extensive wine list, consisting of over 1300 different varieties of local and international wines; and two stars.
The Australian Wine List of the Year Awards gave the restaurant three stars and listing in in its hall of fame.
The owners are continuing to evolve Lake House, with the new Argyle Library Bar has a large collection of cook books and beautiful local art.
