The rescue centre, which helps around 140 animals at any one time, survives without government funding - meaning the community must rally to support it.
The Hepburn Wildlife Centre Fundraising Committee, initiated by Christine Molloy and Tina Alliksaar, organised an open mic night and auction at the Perfect Drop.
"Gayle and Jon (who run the wildlife shelter) work 18 hours a day, seven days a week, to care for these animals," Ms Molloy said.
"It really is like looking after 140 children, which is hard to imagine, so I think it's everyone's duty to support them."
