THE Trentham Saints were well represented in the final series in the Maryborough Castlemaine District Football Netball League, with three junior football sides and one junior netball side competing.

The under-17.5 side, who have struggled for numbers all season, were very competitive against the ladder-leaders Navarre in the first half of the game.
Navarre made use of a big bench to rest its players, who had the legs in the second half to win well.
Jake Beecham kicked three goals and Trystan Paderno, John Iro and Cal Wellings all added one goal each to the score.
Best for the Saints were Jake Beecham, Trystan Paderno, Cal Wellings, Jack Wheeldon, Luke Willes and Bray Brooks.
The Saints under-15s played against Avoca and after a slow start they finished the game strongly to score a convincing win.
Darcy Meade-Sweet kicked nine goals and Jake Keogh and Joel Dovaston added two goals apiece.
Best players were Darcy Meade-Sweet, Jake Keogh, Ryan Bourke, Joel Dovaston, Mark Turvey and Tom Boyer.
Saints under-12s defeated Royal Park, with the young stars produced some great passages of play.
Stirling Keane and Stefan Lendrec both kicked two goals and Sam Evans and Tyson Scoble both had one goal each.
Best for the Saints were Stefan Lendrec, Tyson Scoble, Stirling Keane, Sam Evans, Ben Ekstedt and Oscar Macfarlane.
Trentham’s 13-and-under netball team found the ladder leaders, the Maryborough Rovers, too strong on the day but the girls will only improve from the game.
Best for the Saints were Tamsyn Dicker, Keely Meade-Sweet and Kasey Evans.
All sides remain in the finals and will play again next week.
