The paper won the Best Advertising Feature for the Regional Victoria Living Expo feature, produced in partnership with the Hepburn Shire Council in April.

The judges noted that The Advocate ‘‘carried an enthusiasm for the region’s people, places and products from front cover to back’’.

‘‘The informative content, complementary advertising and clean, crisp layout all combined to present an easy-on-the-eye, easy-to-read and interesting feature,’’ the judges said.

General manager Margot Falconer said: ‘‘we have a terrific team at The Advocate who care very much about the community we report to and on.

‘‘It was great to work with the Hepburn Shire on this important community initiative.’’
