The panel will play an important role in assisting council with making decisions on heritage-related projects along with strategic heritage matters within the Hepburn Shire.
Hepburn Shire Mayor Don Henderson said HSC is committed to making heritage decisions that are in the best interest of the community.
‘‘The HACP will provide guidance when the shire considers work and development in places affected by heritage controls within our shire,’’ Cr Henderson said.
The first meeting is scheduled to be held on September 23.
Nominations are sought for the HSACP from people with relevant professional experience in heritage-related matters, including but not limited to heritage streetscapes, building restoration and architecture.
‘‘This voluntary role will require a commitment from committee members,’’ Henderson said.
‘‘The level of commitment will depend on the projects being considered by the Heritage Advisory Committee.’’
Nominations close August 8. Those interested are asked to read the terms of reference and complete the nomination form at www.hepburn.vic.gov.au.
