After returning to Daylesford recently and meeting up with one another, they decided to open up a hairdressing salon together.
Mr Nelson said he could never have seen himself going into business with anyone.
‘‘But with Sophie its not an issue,’’ he said.
Both have extensive experience in hairdressing.
The Class A Style hairdressing salon is the result of the partnership, located in the old post office building in Daylesford
Mr Nelson and Ms Lambrinakos have enjoyed the experience of opening their new business, creating their salon from scratch.
‘‘Everyone has just been so open and honest with us,’’ they said.
They are grateful to all their friends and family who helped with the salon.
‘‘Some even took days off to help,’’ Mr Nelson said.
‘‘The tradies were fantastic, especially Chubb Plumbing and Laser Electrical. These guys have gone out of their way to help,’’ Ms Lambrinakos said.
‘‘We want to offer our old and new clients an enjoyable environment to be in,’’ they said. The salon is open five days a week and is closed Sundays and Mondays.
