How hypocritical of a few ChillOut visitors to complain, I wonder if they complain about the girlie magazines in newsagents or sex and violence on TV?
The shop is not exactly in a busy thoroughfare. It’s not front-of-street viewing. People have a choice to look or walk on.
As Kristeena has been trading for at least six months with no complaints, why should the landlady, who knew of her artistic style, now be swayed by a narrow-minded minority who probably don’t even live in the area?
Why did Susan Walker allow her space in the complex at all if she thought the work offensive?
This smacks of another case of the minority spoiling lives for the sake of their prejudices and a wowser mentality spoiling freedom of expression.
People of all walks trying to make a living or expressing their artistic talents being harassed because they are different.
This once-great country is being crippled by right-wing political correctness, Nimbyism and self-righteous censors. Hannah Knight’s editorial was spot-on.
