Barb Adam, Bill Janetski and Geoff Toose won the Twilight Triples tournament played on Tuesday, February 4. Four teams tied for second. Raylene Worsley's Webbcona team won the Ladies Tournament held on Wednesday, February 5, while Gloria Kotula's Deer Park team finished second.
In midweek pennant, Smeaton travelled to Beaufort Golf but suffered a 15-shot loss on a slow green.
Smeaton hosted Linton in division 2, experiencing a difficult game against a stronger side. Linton defeated Smeaton by 14 shots. In division 3, Smeaton was away to Creswick and won by 21 shots. Marg Saligari, Ted Rumler, Jenny Tranter and skip Shane Slater won by one shot. Kevin Lafranchi, Judy Slater, Denis Sanford and skip Jenny Jolliffe had a comfortable 16-shot win.
In weekend pennant, Smeaton's division 1 team travelled to Sebastopol and won by 17 shots. The highlight of the day was Graeme Perry, Robert Briggs, Robert Mizzeni and skip Craig McKee, who played great bowls to secure a nine-shot win.
The division 3 team suffered a 15-shot loss to Central Wendouree. Len Robinson's rink of Winston Pickering, Bill May and Des Dwyer won by six shots, while the other rinks were all down.
The division 5 team travelled to Sebastopol and won a close one by five shots. Skip Robert Seamons' rink won by 11 shots, Russell Bradshaw's rink won by four.
In division 8, playing at home to Central Wendouree, Smeaton lost by nine shots. Mervyn McKay's rink of Kevin Lafranchi, Frances Muller and Judy Slater won by eight.
