In Saturday pennant round seven, it was another great week for Smeaton with two home sides recording wins against Sebastopol.

Division 1 was thrilled to get a 26 shot win against Sebastopol. The standout rinks of the day were Helen Mizzeni, Joel McNaught, Alex McKee and skip Jim Taylor winning by 20 shots. Also enjoying a 20 shot win was the rink including Peter Kersley, Geoff Toose, Craig McKee and skip Geoff Pickering.
Unfortunately, the Division 3 team suffered a 42 shot loss to Central Wendouree. The only winning rink on the day for Smeaton was that of Winston Pickering, Bill May, Des Dwyer and skip Len Robinson who won by one shot.
But it was slightly better for the Division 5 team who easily defeated Sebastopol and won by 32 shots. Gordon McKay, Ian Pickering, Jenny Tranter and skip Robert Seamons enjoyed a great six shot win. Also enjoying a four shot win was the rink of Val Rumler, Ted Rumler, Rob Turley and skip Ross Dimond. Robin Cawthan's rink of Wayne Ford, Colin Toose and Denis Sandford Smeaton's won convincingly and had a strong 27 shot win.
Smeaton's Division 8 team had an 18 shot loss to Central Wendouree. Aimee Slater, David McKay, Mervyn McKay and skip Carol McKay lost their rink by 18 shots, while Kevin Lafranchi, Bernie Charleson, Judy Slater and skip Shane Slater played out a draw.

CLUNES
Saturday Division 2 Travelled to Invermay.
Bowlers were keen to get back playing on the greens after a long break. Invermay proved too strong winning all four rinks and an outright victory by 48 shots. Clunes skipper Alan Carnegies rink had a great second half to make up a large defecit and just go down in a tight finish
Saturday Division 6 Hosted Invermay at home.
Invermay were able to win three of the four rinks. Clunes rink skippered by Laurie Judd with Danny Spong, Satch Niemiec and Steve Arrowsmith played well all day to record a seven shot victory.
However Invermay prevailed for an outright victory by 10 shots
