Daylesford College Music Department will showcase the talents of the students in the Music Program with a wide selection of musical acts including the concert band, choir, rock bands and soloists and students from Year Seven to the Senior School. The wider community of Daylesford and the Hepburn Shire is welcome to join and support our talented musicians. Gold coin donation.
Saturday Olivia Lay
Olivia Lay is a 19-year-old singer/songwriter/guitarist from Gippsland who has played guitar most of her life and is known for her complex, original instrumental guitar pieces. Olivia takes inspiration from artists such as Newton Faulkner and John Butler and some career highlights include winning the Regional Battle of the Bands competition (Oct '19), opening for Ruby Fields and Baker Boy at their All Ages Tour in Leongatha and supporting Custard on their 'Live at The Bundy' show.
Sunday Geoffrey Williams presents the Daylesford Soul Choir and the October Choir (Melbourne)
Geoffrey will appear in a salon, intimate gig with two choirs. Renowned as a purveyor of soul, blues and reggae, intermingling interpretations of the well known and not-so-well-known, originals rubbing shoulders with spontaneous musical happenings. Armed with an acoustic guitar and a loop pedal, he has performed at Woodford Folk Festival, Newstead Live, Montreux Jazz Festival, International Jazz Day and the Bendigo Writers Festival. This will be now intertwined with the massive vocal work of two choirs.

From down the road in Geelong, Josh plays electric guitar with drummer, Black Keys-style, serving up mostly originals with some covers thrown in. Josh has recorded a couple of blues rock and roll CDs.

In 2013, Jen Cloher, Mia Dyson and Liz Stringer came together in the spirit of collaboration and experimentation to release an three-track EP played across every state and territory. Since 2013, they all pursued their solo careers - releasing a combined eight studio albums, winning multiple awards and touring.
Now, recovened, Dyson, Stringer, Cloher's self-titled debut album is out, recorded at Jeff Tweedy's (Wilco) 'The Loft' in Chicago, with Wilco's Glenn Kotche on drums. Special guest is Jodi Phillis (Clouds).
