In Midweek pennant round five Smeaton's Division 1 team travelled to Mt Xavier but suffered a four shot loss, though the silver lining was Barb Adam, Helen Jenkin, Laraine Toose and skip Helen Mizzeni winning their rink by six shots.

Jenny Toose's rink went down by six shots and Rhonda Armstrong's also went down by four shots.
Smeaton's Division 2 team enjoyed a strong win over City Oval by 30 shots.
Rob Turley, Joan Lafranchi, Miriam Haines and skip Graeme Perry won by 14 shots.
Keren Mays rink of Bev Shaw, Colin Toose, Robyn Shaw won by six shots and Kerry Leishman's rink of Winston Pickering, Marilyn Stephens, Robyn Bradshaw won comfortably by 10 shots.
But Smeaton's Division 3 team had another impressive victory over Mt Xavier winning by 18 shots.
Smeaton prevailed and was able to win all three rinks.
The highlight of the day was performed by Frances Muller, Ian Ross, Sue Richards and skip Robin Cawthan boltered from the first end to finish with a 12 shot win.
Jenny Tranter's rink of Ted Rumler, Val Rumler, Shane Slater won by a mere one shot and Jenny Jolliffe's rink of Kevin Lafranchi, Margaret Saligari and Judy Slater also won by five shots.
Unfortunately, all weekend pennants were cancelled to due to inclement weather.
