The Division 1 victory put the squad into top position, three points ahead of second and equal on goal difference.

With just two games remaining, it will be a thrilling end to the season - the last match being against second-placed Warnambool Rangers.

Daylesford was missing a string of players for both games and did well to get the results it did.

Owen Turbitt scored a double hattrick with six goals, one of the highest ever scores in Division 1.

Other goals were spread around the squad, with Josh Duffy getting two bangers on return. Creswick battled hard all day, turning up each week for a tough gig.

Division 1 will have this week off with the bye, with Division 2 playing a catch-up game this weekend.

Quite a few lads are needing the rest to recover from injury and a soaring season in the top flight.

After a disappointing result last weekend the under 13 Saints needed to find their way with a solid performance against Creswick.

The Saints started off well, retaining the ball and created nice plays in the first half. Monty and Frey are starting to gel and are working well up front as the Saints attacking pair. The team took a 2-0 lead into half-time, thanks to Frey's first half brace. Frey found himself in the right spot on both occasions, smashing home both goals. Credit must be given to the teamwork shown in the build up of the goals, team first mentality is starting to come to fruition, pleasing the coach on the sidelines.

In the second half, the Saints continued to create good team plays resulting in three goals. Frey got his hattrick, Zach joined in with a nice goal and Monty chipped in for the fifth.

But Creswick played out the match and were rewarded for their efforts with a goal. Final score: 5-1.

The Saints will face Bacchus Marsh in the next round, which will be a fiercely contested match as the rivalry between these two teams is immense.
