The achievement is huge, given the club has not been in such a position for the past 18 years and occurred due to a solid three to nil win over Bacchus Marsh on Sunday.
The team debuted three new recruits during the game.
Daylesford's Jody Barnes scored one in each half to put the team on the leader board before Hiroshi Masuda again showed off his skills to score a goal.
In division two, Daylesford debuted two under-15s players - Sam O'Brien and Josh Wade - against Ballarat, but despite their efforts, lost the match 6-0. The two debuts played well and are players to keep an eye on in future.
Daylesford had more than one chance to score but didn't, while Ballarat converted chances easily into goals.
The last 20 minutes saw a lot of dominant possession for Daylesford.
Meanwhile, the fresh-faced girls under-12s side took on Ballarat City.
The game began with the top-tier Ballarat passing the ball around the back in what could be mistaken as an A-League standard.
But the Daylesford girls were determined with a return from Mackie and newcomers Tilly and Jess settling into the team.
Stevie led the defense assisted by Livvy and Neisa to keep Ballarat without a goal for the first 15 minutes.
Despite their best efforts, Ballarat slotted two goals just before halftime.
Zara played well in the middle, as did Maddie up the front, but the girls found it difficult to penetrate Ballarat's line of defence.
Ruby showed good sings on the wing and Eve did a nice run forward where she was tripped and so received a free kick.
Ballarat's goalkeeper put up a wall but Eve kicked high to execute a perfect goal to bring the score to 1-2.
Ballarat scored again, despite the efforts of Immy in goal, right before the final whistle to win the game 3-1.
All teams will play at home this coming weekend from 9am on Sunday for the juniors and 5pm for the seniors.
